Our Mission
Warwick Heights Tennis Club, a private tennis facility established in 1963, aims to provide a relaxed and unassuming atmosphere for members of all ability levels to gather socially and play and enjoy the game of tennis. WHTC fosters an environment where players conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the etiquette, spirit, sportsmanship, and exemplary standards of behavior expected of the sport.
Our History
Owned and supported by the club members and governed by an elected board and officers, Warwick Heights Tennis Club is a desirable choice for avid tennis enthusiasts due to its affordability, limited memberships and popular clay courts.
When purchased in 1963, the facility had two clay courts and a small clubhouse built around a charming, fieldstone fireplace. Three additional clay courts have been added as the membership increased. There is no reservation system to play tennis. The Club operates from early spring to late fall.
WHTC is noted for its long-standing membership. The Club’s daily upkeep, organization and social activities are undertaken by dedicated members who volunteer their time. On a summer day, members and guests can be seen enjoying a challenging tennis match or engaging in a friendly conversation on the clubhouse deck. Warwick Heights offers a casual and comfortable setting for children, teens, adults and families who love to play tennis.
WHTC is a 501(c)7 non-profit organization. Cedar Street & Love Lane, East Greenwich, RI 02818.
